Alpine FIS Lite Program

An alpine ski racer competing in a slalom race.

About the Program

The FIS Lite Program is designed for SR/U21/U19 who seek higher level competition. The program begins opening weekend and concludes at the end of the FIS competitive season. Training will take place Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. In addition, training will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (training at other venues will be considered and worked into the program where appropriate). FIS Lite Program Athletes are required to be advanced ski racers with a lower point profile (100 - 150 USSA points). In addition, the athlete needs to be able to ski all terrain and in all conditions. Drills will be focused on technical events (SL and GS) with the potential for speed training using speed elements constructed on specified runs and/or participating in Eastern Speed camps. Drills will depend on the coach but should be based on skill development, technique, and tactics.

The decision to participate in the program is a joint decision made by Alpine Program Director, coaching staff, athlete, and parents. This is a heavier commitment by both athlete and parents.

The program fee is $1,299 before October 31st, 2017 and increases to $1,425 after. Program is limited to 6 athletes.
