Following a few days of freeze / thaw, we had a pretty stellar day! Our groomers worked to make sure that we had some great terrain for skiers and riders of all skill levels.
Early in the day, the Barnyard was host to a number of Bebe Wood lessons and some folks taking lessons, improving on their fundamentals. The Spear Mountain Express opened this morning to a bunch of smiling faces enjoying the sun on Cardigan and Flying Yankee.
After the wind died down, we opened up the Summit Six Pack where both Exhibition and Birches were skiing great for advanced skiers and riders.
Be sure to #thankagroomer the next time you're up here with us to #getragged. A big thank you to our team of groomers!
This week should bring plenty of more fun on the hill for everyone enjoying NH winter break.
The past few days have certainly made for some interesting, and fun skiing. The groomers are out right now getting trails back in shape for some fun skiing and riding.
We are currently opening Barnyard and Spear Peaks as usual. The groomers will then make their way across Ragged Peak, and patrol will open those trails in stages. The 6-pack will be on a wind hold this morning and we will reevaluate as the day progresses.Last Edited by Ragged Mountain on Sunday, February 26, 2017
This past long weekend was one for the record books! With a two week total of 56" going into the holiday, conditions everywhere were unbelievable. Everyone had a smile on their face, whether they were searching out powder caches in the trees or checking out some of the many new features in our terrain parks. You did not have to look far to find people enjoying everything we had to offer!
On Saturday we hosted our USASA Rail Jam event where talented skiers and riders from around New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island came to test their skills and put on a show. Our terrain park staff worked tirelessly to build a fantastic park, so be sure to #ThankAParkRanger when you see them!
On Sunday, the New Hampshire State U16 Slalom Qualifiers was held over on Showboat, and the turnout could not have been better. There was no shortage of spectators along the side of the trail, and guests riding up the Spear Express did not hesitate to holler out their support for these talented skiers.
Conditions are still expected to be fantastic throughout the vacation week, so be sure to head over and [buy your tickets now]. We will be waiting for you to come up and #GetRagged with us!

After having 56 inches of snow fall over the past two weeks, we have 250 acres of terrain open, including some of New Hampshire’s best glades. With two high speed lifts including the state’s only high speed six person chairlift, three terrain parks including one newly reshaped park with 22 new features, and two peaks full of fantastic terrain for all levels of skiers and riders, we might be the best kept secret in New England.

Actually, you’re the one who really wins because you get more smiles per dollar – more terrain, smaller lift lines, and high speed lifts covering 100% of the terrain at Ragged Mountain.

Mother Nature has jumped on board this week, helping to make our Mission even better! It’s been snowing like crazy, and ski patrol has been opening more of Ragged Mountain’s finest gladed terrain all week. This week brought 6 inches of new snow on Tuesday and another 13 inches on Thursday. That has brought our trail count up to 53, including the bowl between Ragged and Spear Peaks. Now it looks like there is even more in the immediate forecast. The skiing and riding this weekend is going to be amazing!
The Terrain Park Team has been re-sculpting the lower half of our park all week and have 13 new features ready for some fun this weekend. Make sure to check out the new wall ride.
Between the trees, the beautifully groomed trails, and a bomber new park, there is a lot to get psyched for this week.

Sunday, make sure to check out the Sport Thoma Demo happening right at the base area. Check out the latest gear from great brands like Rossignol, Volkl, K2, and many more. This is a great mid-season “Try Before You Buy” opportunity.
